Guidelines.
The Heat Score is only as reliable as the community behind it. These rules protect every hunter on the platform. Last updated: 30 April 2025.
The Heat Score is the signal. Manipulation is the noise. We eliminate the noise. Using Glitchdeals — voting, commenting, or submitting deals — means you accept these guidelines without reservation. Violations are actioned swiftly and without negotiation.
The Standard
Glitchdeals exists to level the playing field — to give everyday consumers the same speed and intelligence previously reserved for professional scalper bots. The community is the backbone of the Heat Score. One bad actor degrades the signal for everyone. These guidelines are non-negotiable and are enforced actively. Using Glitchdeals means accepting them in full.
Voting Integrity
The Heat Score is only as reliable as the votes behind it. You must: • Vote based on your honest assessment of the deal's value — not on personal grievances, brand loyalty, or external coordination. • Cast only one vote per deal per account. The platform enforces this technically, but any attempt to circumvent it (multiple accounts, shared credentials) is a bannable offence. • Never coordinate votes with other users to artificially inflate or deflate a deal's Heat Score. This includes posting in external groups, Discord servers, or social media with the explicit intent to direct coordinated voting. • Never use bots, scripts, browser automation, or any non-human method to interact with voting or any other platform feature.
Comments
Comments exist to add genuine value to the deal discussion — price history, alternative options, real user experience. The following is strictly prohibited: • Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language of any kind. • Harassment, threats, or personal attacks directed at other users or any individual. • Spam: repetitive messages, off-topic promotion, unsolicited links, or referral codes. • Doxxing: posting or threatening to post private or personally identifiable information about any person. • Impersonation of Glitchdeals staff, moderators, or any other user. • Posting false, misleading, or fabricated information presented as fact. Comments are publicly visible. Do not include personal financial details or sensitive information in comments.
Deal Reporting
The deal report feature exists to flag expired, fraudulent, or incorrectly priced deals so they can be removed quickly for everyone's benefit. A deal that receives sufficient reports within a short window is automatically expired. • Report only in good faith: use it when a deal is genuinely expired, the link is broken, or the price has reverted. • Do not use the report feature as a downvote or to suppress deals you personally dislike. • Do not coordinate with others to mass-report a legitimate deal in order to remove it artificially. Abuse of the report feature is treated as seriously as vote manipulation and will result in account suspension or permanent ban.
Deal Submissions
If you submit deals to Glitchdeals, you confirm that: • The deal is genuine and represents a real, verifiable price reduction. • You are not submitting deals in which you have an undisclosed financial interest (e.g., you are the retailer, seller, or affiliate). • You are not submitting deals from retailers where you have inflated the "original" price to manufacture the appearance of a discount. • The product and deal details you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submissions that violate these rules — particularly undisclosed commercial interests — will be removed and the account suspended.
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct results in immediate permanent account termination with no appeal: • Operating bots, scripts, or automation against any part of the Glitchdeals platform. • Attempting to reverse-engineer, extract data from, or disrupt the Sniper Engine or any backend system. • Creating sockpuppet accounts (multiple accounts controlled by the same person) for the purpose of manipulating votes, reports, or community perception. • Brigading: organised, coordinated action by a group of users intended to manipulate the Heat Score, flood comments, or artificially suppress or amplify deals. • Sharing access credentials with others to conduct prohibited activities. • Any action intended to undermine the integrity of the Heat Score ranking system.
Enforcement
Glitchdeals reserves the right to remove any content and suspend or permanently ban any account at any time, with or without prior notice, at our sole discretion. Our general enforcement hierarchy: 1. Minor violations (off-topic comments, accidental spam): content removal + warning. 2. Repeated minor violations or moderate violations: temporary suspension (24 hours to 30 days). 3. Severe violations (bots, brigading, sockpuppets, commercial deception): immediate permanent ban, no appeal. We do not publish a detailed appeals process for severe violations. If you believe you have been actioned incorrectly for a minor violation, you may contact community@glitchdeals.co.uk within 7 days of the action. We are under no obligation to restore any account or content.
Reporting Violations
To report a community violation, use the in-app report button on any deal. For conduct violations in comments or patterns of abuse you have observed, email community@glitchdeals.co.uk with as much detail as possible. We take all reports seriously. Malicious or false reports submitted in bad faith are themselves a guideline violation.
Changes to These Guidelines
These guidelines may be updated as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Glitchdeals constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines. We will endeavour to announce significant changes via a site notice.
