Designed to be
used by everyone.
WCAG 2.2 AA conformance status, known limitations, and how to report an accessibility issue. Last reviewed: 14 May 2026.
1. Our commitment
Glitchdeals is committed to making this website usable by everyone, regardless of disability or assistive-technology requirement. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This statement applies to the website at www.glitchdeals.co.uk. Native mobile apps are out of scope (we don't ship any). Statement prepared on 14 May 2026.
2. Standard followed
WCAG 2.2 Level AA, per the W3C Recommendation of 5 October 2023 (www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/). Our internal target is full AA conformance with no Level A failures. We test using a combination of automated tooling (axe-core) and manual keyboard / screen-reader spot checks on the most-trafficked routes (home, deal detail, search).
3. Conformance status
Glitchdeals is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard — see Section 4 for the known limitations and their planned remediation dates.
4. Known limitations
The following are known to fall short of WCAG 2.2 AA and are being actively worked on: • Some decorative motion (Framer Motion animations on landing-page chips and CTAs) does not currently respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query in all cases. Planned remediation: Q3 2026. • Charts on the deal detail "Price History" tab are SVG-rendered and rely on visual cues; we provide a tabular fallback only on the detail page itself, not in tooltips. Planned remediation: Q3 2026. • A small number of icon-only buttons in the experimental admin area do not yet expose aria-labels. The admin area is restricted to internal users and is not indexed. We will not knowingly publish new pages or features that introduce additional Level A or AA failures.
5. How to report an issue
If you encounter a barrier on Glitchdeals, please tell us. Email accessibility@glitchdeals.co.uk with: the page URL, what you tried to do, what went wrong, and (if you can share it) the assistive technology and browser version you were using. We aim to acknowledge within five working days and to fix or provide a workaround within 30 days for Level A issues. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate via the Equality Advisory and Support Service (www.equalityadvisoryservice.com).
6. Enforcement procedure
The Equality Act 2010 (and, for public-sector bodies, the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018) requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments. Glitchdeals is a private-sector service; we follow the WCAG-AA standard voluntarily because we believe accessible design is good design. If you believe we have not made a reasonable adjustment, you can pursue a claim under the Equality Act through the County Court (England & Wales).
7. Review schedule
We will next review and update this statement on or before 14 November 2026, or sooner if we materially change the site (new top-level routes, redesign of the deal feed, addition of new third-party widgets).
